MILLWALL are close to signing striker Tom Elliott from AFC Wimbledon.
Elliott, 26, will become the Lions’ second free-transfer recruit of the summer, after they confirmed the capture of defender James Meredith from Bradford on Monday.
Elliott scored 13 goals in 46 appearances last season – including the equaliser in the 2-2 draw with Millwall in January – as Neal Ardley’s Dons finished 15th in League One after promotion the previous season.
Elliott started his career at Leeds United, before spells at Hamilton, Stockport County and Cambridge United.
Millwall considered a move for 6ft 4ins Elliott in January, but Neil Harris waited until after the end of the season to swoop for the centre-forward.
