Winger departs Millwall after disappointing spell

GREGG Wylde is to leave Millwall less than a year after joining the club from Plymouth.

Wylde, 26, signed a two-year deal with Millwall after a free transfer in June 2016, but both parties have reached agreement to terminate that contract.

Former Rangers winger Wylde started just one league game for Millwall and featured just 10 times in all competitions this season, before he joined Northampton on loan in January.

His last appearance for the Cobblers was in March, before he picked up a groin injury which he needed surgery on last month.

He is the second player to leave Millwall this week, after Alfie Pavey's departure.

Wylde will now be free to talk to other clubs after his difficult spell in south London came to an end.
