Millwall injury update ahead of Bristol Rovers

SHAUN Hutchinson has “an outside chance” of being available for Millwall’s final game of the season at Bristol Rovers.

Hutchinson suffered a rib injury at Fleetwood last week and will be assessed before Sunday’s fixture at The Memorial Stadium.

Lions boss Neil Harris also confirmed Tony Craig was taken off at half-time in the 3-0 defeat to Oxford on Saturday for tactical reasons and because he was on a yellow card.

Craig had only trained for two days prior to that fixture having been out injured for two weeks.

Hutchinson's return could be crucial, with Millwall losing just one of the 14 games the centre-back has completed this season.

“He’ll have an outside chance,” Harris said. “We won’t know if he’s available until at least Friday or Saturday morning."

Otherwise Harris has a fully fit squad to choose from as they try to secure a play-off place on the final day.

If Craig had only trained for two days prior to saturdays game, why on earth was he picked ahead of Martin or Ferguson, the mind boggles!

Two days of training and he gets picked ahead of two perfectly able left backs. A joke!

Why play an unfit, declining centre back at left back for a home game you need to win. With O'Brien cutting inside all the time that you surely need a left back who can get forward and provide width - Fergie!!

What a terrible admission to make. It is not as if we win every game JC plays in, that would be understandable, but we don't.

NH selection this week has to be spot on or he will lose even more credibility and that would be a shame for someone with his standing at MFC.

For all our sakes get it right Neal.

I think NH thought the Oxford game was a gimmee and would be game time for the two unfit players prior to the play offs. Afraid it rebounded and smacked Harris where it hurts. Will he learn not to mess with a settled team. He had been praising King and Martin them drops them. Another massive balls up for Mr H's CV just like Wembley when took captaincy away from Moro. Please learn quickly and do the right thing on Sunday!!

Sunday is too important: selection should be from the fully-fit, in-form players. If there's any doubt about either, they shouldn't be on the team sheet.
