JAKE Cooper will start in the centre of defence for Millwall if Shaun Hutchinson fails to recover from a rib injury.
Hutchinson was substituted at half-time in the 1-0 defeat at Fleetwood Town on Monday after falling awkwardly.
Lions captain Tony Craig is still struggling with a dead leg that has resulted in swelling near his knee, affecting his mobility.
Jordan Archer has been on the bench for the last two games after recovering from a quad problem, but Millwall boss Neil Harris may continue with Tom King in goal.
Millwall know two wins in their final two games will guarantee a top-six finish and a play-off place. Any slip-up, though, could allow Southend to pounce. The Shrimpers, a point behind Millwall in seventh, are at Shrewsbury on Saturday.
Rochdale, who are eighth, face Oldham, and if Millwall lose and their two closest rivals win then the Lions will slip to eighth place before the final day of the League One season.
Oxford are set to be without their influential midfielder Liam Sercombe for the fourth successive game.
Sercombe has been left out for disciplinary reasons. Boss Michael Appleton told BBC Radio Oxford: "I'll manage the football club as best as I see fit.
"It's difficult, but the reality is I don't want anyone who doesn't want to be here next year anyway. As harsh as that is, that's how it is.
"We've created a culture and talked a lot about it. I want players who want to play for Oxford United and if they don't, they can leave – simple as that."
Forward Toni Martinez has returned injured to parent club West Ham.
Millwall are protecting a 15-game unbeaten run in all competitions at The Den.
