MILLWALL have been named the Nickelodeon Family Club of the Year at the 2017 EFL Awards.
The Lions were one of three divisional recipients with the Championship’s Blackburn Rovers and Stevenage of League Two, before being named overall winners.
The award recognises the club that leads the way in attracting younger fans and families.
Millwall’s chief executive Steve Kavanagh said that, through the Zampa Family Club, the aim is to “get them engaged in the club at an early age, making sure that they really enjoy coming here, not just because of the result, but actually enjoy being in the ground, and enjoy being part of that Millwall community and family”.
After Sunday night’s awards ceremony Kavanagh added: “The work that has gone in to get these awards is incredible and to be recognised in this way is fantastic for the football club.
“From the chairman down, we have worked very hard and it is a great award for Millwall Football Club.”
