Millwall boss dismisses goalkeeper to Everton links

NEIL Harris said there is "nothing" in speculation linking Everton with a move for Tom King.

The Sun carried a report early in the week that Ronald Koeman was eyeing up a move for goalkeeper King as back-up to current stoppers Joel Robles and Maarten Stekelenburg.

King joined Millwall after being released by Crystal Palace and has come to prominence this season with a number of impressive performances.

He has kept five clean sheets in 11 games this season, after making his full senior Lions debut in the 2-1 League Cup second-round defeat to Nottingham Forest in August.

King, 22, was then thrust into the spotlight in February and March, playing six games in the absence of first-choice Jordan Archer. He could be required to step in again after Archer went off injured in the 2-0 defeat to Sheffield United on Tuesday night.

King kept four clean sheets in those games and though he conceded six in the FA Cup defeat to Spurs, reports are linking some of the big guns with him, Everton the latest.

But Harris dismissed those stories this week.

He said: “Nothing surprises me in football with the media. Nothing in it.”
