Lopsided league run-in doesn't worry Millwall boss

NEIL Harris isn’t bothered that seven out of Millwall’s 10 remaining League One fixtures this season are on the road, and he believes the squad has the fitness levels to cope with the demanding schedule.

Millwall’s run to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup means they play up to three games more than some of their closest rivals in the last five-and-a-half weeks of the campaign.

That starts with Rochdale at Spotland on Tuesday night, and when Harris was asked after Saturday’s 0-0 draw at home to Bury if tiredness would be a problem he responded: “Possibly mentally jaded, not physically. The boys are fit at this stage of the season. It’s not about training, it’s about games coming thick and fast.

He added: “We’ve got three away games now, which we’re really looking forward to. It’ll be brilliant to go on the road because you can build momentum rather than going backwards and forwards.

“We’ve done it when we played here for a number of games in a row and now we go three games in a row away from home and really look forward to them.

“It’s certainly a challenge. Everyone would rather play at home because it takes the travelling out of the equation. But it makes no difference to us. Our away form wasn’t great at the start of the season but it’s been consistent for a period of time.

“We’ll embrace the away games.”

Hey there, I think your site might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your blog site in Ie, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, very good blog!
