LIAM Feeney is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering significant ankle ligament damage during Millwall's 3-1 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Club physio Bobby Bacic says the winger will see a specialist on Wednesday and is expected to be out of action for a minimum of eight weeks.
Manager Kenny Jackett had previously hoped that Feeney, who was an 83rd-minute substitute against Boro, would be able to recover by the end of the international break.
He said on Saturday: "Liam got a really bad tackle and was limping at the end, but I'm hoping that, if there's a problem, it can be cleared up in two weeks."
Feeney has made 36 appearances for the Lions since his £200,000-move from Bournemouth 12 months ago, scoring five goals.
