JED Wallace says he needs "an opportunity" and that it was one of the reasons he re-joined Millwall.
Wallace featured just 13 times for Wolves this season and pointed to the chances that Neil Harris has given Fred Onyedinma and Ben Thompson as evidence of how consistent runs of form can benefit players.
Wallace was a favourite of former Wolves boss Kenny Jackett, but struggled under Walter Zenga and then Paul Lambert.
Wallace joined Millwall on the same day as Jake Cooper last week and both made their debuts in the 1-1 draw with Bradford on Saturday.
Former Portsmouth winger Wallace was impressed with Cooper.
"He's what the manager wants, similar to Beevs (Mark Beevers) last season. He's going to defend for his life and I thought he did really well on Saturday.
"He's the same as me, he hasn't been playing. Before I had a run of not playing I used to think it was easy to go in and out. But you need a run of games.
"You see that here with Fred, he's an improved player from what I saw last season. Thommo as well, now he's had a run of 20 or 30 games he looks a real player.
"You need familiarity, you need consistency and you need an opportunity and that's what I know I'm going to get here."
The full EXCLUSIVE interview with Jed Wallace will be in Southwark News on Thursday.
