Only injuries likely to send Millwall back into market

NEIL Harris says Millwall will only add further to their squad in the last week of the transfer window if they suffer injuries.

Lions boss Harris last week brought in Wolves’ Jed Wallace and Jake Cooper of Reading on loan deals until the end of the season, and both made their debuts against Bradford at the weekend.

Cooper was signed to add strength in depth in the centre of the Lions’ defence, and his recruitment was timely with Shaun Hutchinson ruled out against the Bantams with a calf injury.

Asked after Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Valley Parade if that was the end of incoming business in January, Harris said: “I would have thought so.

He added: “I think every manager in this window would say, ‘I’d like one more’. The reality is I’ve been fortunate to be able to bring two players in. The reality of bringing another one in? Probably not.

“For the next nine or 10 days of the window we’ll probably have to be a little bit reactive in case anything happens in training or games.”
