NEIL Harris is hopeful Shaun Hutchinson's calf injury won't keep him out for an extended spell.
Hutchinson was absent from Millwall's match-day squad before the 1-1 draw at Valley Parade on Saturday.
Harris gave Jake Cooper his debut following the centre-back's loan move from Reading, after Hutchinson injured his calf in last Saturday's scoreless draw at Charlton.
"Last weekend against Charlton he had a tight calf after the game," Harris said. "He trained Tuesday and got through it with discomfort. On Thursday he got halfway through it but was in discomfort so we decided to send him for a precautionary scan and he's got a small tear in his calf, only a minor one.
"It was too much of a risk to play him today but we were fortunate Jake was on his way to the club anyway.
"Hopefully we're only looking at a couple of weeks. It'll depend on how quickly the scar tissue recovers but whether we can get him back out before next weekend we'll have to see."
