Millwall sign Wolverhampton Wanderers winger

MILLWALL have completed a deal for the return of winger Jed Wallace from Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wallace, 22, has signed on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal.

NewsAtDen exclusively revealed in December that Millwall were interested in bringing Wallace back for a second spell, and his capture is a huge boost for Lions boss Neil Harris as he attempts to steer the club into the play-off spots.

Wallace played 14 times for Millwall last season after joining on loan from Wolves in January. He scored once, got five assists, and was an immediate hit with Lions fans.

He was recalled by Wolves boss Kenny Jackett in March, but injury restricted his involvement towards the end of the season.

Wallace was rated highly by Jackett, but the former Lions manager departed before the start of this season, with Walter Zenga taking over.

Zenga last just 87 days, and Wallace featured just once under his replacement, Paul Lambert, as a substitute in a 0-0 draw with Preston on November 19, one of 13 appearances this season.

Wallace is training with the Millwall squad today and could be available for the League One clash with Bradford at Valley Parade on Saturday. There is no recall clause in the deal with Wolves.
