MILLWALL assistant manager Joe Gallen believes Chris Taylor will "break onto the scene soon" after enduring a frustrating start to life at the club.
The summer signing from Oldham has yet to play a minute of Championship football for the Lions despite scoring three goals in pre-season games against Exeter and Southend in the summer.
Taylor was dropped from the squad completely for the league opener against Blackpool and has been an unused substitute against Peterborough, Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough since.
"We're only a few games into the season and all I'd say at the moment that we'll see him soon," Gallen told Lions Live.
"Chris did well in pre-season and scored a very good header against Southend.
"In some of the games this season we have matched the formation of our opponents – we did it against Peterborough and Sheffield Wednesday, where we lined up with a midfield diamond which Chris probably doesn't suit.
"He has a lot of ability and an eye for goal, as you saw in pre-season and when he played for Oldham. We rate him, we think he's a good player and we think he can score goals.
"He can play behind the striker and on the left side of midfield. He's doing particularly well in training and his finishing is really good and I think he'll break onto the scene soon."
