Harris: Some Millwall players keen to leave

MILLWALL boss Neil Harris has reiterated his desire to add to his squad during January's transfer window.

Harris had a full selection to pick from for the first time this season as Millwall defeated Charlton 3-1 at home on Wednesday night (above).

Squad regulars Sid Nelson and Joe Martin were left out of the match-day 18 to face the Addicks, with Byron Webster and Steve Morison fit again and Shaun Hutchinson making just his fourth start of the season.

"Yes, I do need to add to the squad," Harris said. "It's fine (Wednesday night), brilliant, great performance and great to have a fully fit squad. But there are some players that are going to be keen to leave to get some football and I always support players that want to play regularly.

"And if they leave then I need personnel to come in. Finding players in January – it might be one, it might be two – is going to be key."

Meanwhile, Harris revealed that Lee Gregory was ill this week after he was substituted in the 74th minute on Wednesday night.

"Most of the squad have had man flu, cold, whatever you want to call it, this week," Harris said.

"Gregs ran himself into the ground. Putting Aiden (O'Brien) in there to give us a link and an extra pass was key at that stage."
