Nelson returns as Millwall defeat Sky Blues

SID Nelson made his comeback from injury as Millwall U23s defeated Coventry City 2-1 at Bromley on Monday afternoon.

Nelson, 20, hasn’t started a game for Neil Harris’ side since the 2-1 EFL Trophy win over Gillingham on October 4, but has now recovered from a thigh strain.

Alfie Pavey, who made his first senior appearance of the season at Bury on Saturday, scored twice and midfielder Harry Donovan was sent off four minutes from time as Justin Skinner’s side bounced back from last Monday’s 4-1 defeat at Colchester.

The result leaves Millwall in fourth place in Professional Development League (South), behind leaders Charlton, Cardiff and Coventry.

Millwall XI: 4-4-2: King; Cummings, Nelson, Mbulu, Chesmain; Brown, Donovan, Farrell, Twardek; Pavey, Leighton.
