Former Millwall loan star makes loan move to Norwich

FORMER Millwall loanee Harry Kane has joined Norwich City on loan – putting an end to any lingering hopes of a return to The Den for the Tottenham striker.

Kane was given permission to leave White Hart Lane just hours before the close of the summer transfer window and has linked up with the Canaries for the remainder of the season.

Lions boss Kenny Jackett wanted to re-sign the England U19 international after his impressive four-month stint at The Den last season, but Spurs' technical director Tim Sherwood told NewsAtDen in July that Kane was set to feature under new manager André Villas Boas.

However, after completing a deal for Fulham forward Clint Dempsey, the North London club have decided to send Kane to Carrow Road to gain more Premier League experience.

Another Millwall target, Stuart Beavon, completed an eleventh-hour move to Preston North End on deadline day.

The 28-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the League One club after Wycombe reluctantly accepted a bid for their top scorer.

It's an interesting switch for Kane. Will he get the game time he needs to progress to the next level? He would have been a great asset for us this season and a full season in the Championship would of done him no harm, considering his young age.
