MILLWALL striker Darius Henderson says is expecting a "battle" against veteran Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Woodgate on Saturday.

The former Real Madrid and England centre-back is expected to start at The Den tomorrow having been rested for Boro's last two fixtures.

And Woodgate will be lining-up against Lions frontman Henderson, who is keen to add to his first goal of the season against Peterborough earlier this month.

"I've played against him before in the Premier League and it should be a good battle," Henderson told the club's official site.

"Hopefully I can maintain my form and get some goals under my belt. The crowd can play a big part; just look at Sheffield Wednesday last Saturday – their fans pretty much sucked the ball into the goal.

"Even though it is very early in the season we're hovering just above the relegation zone and it would be good to get a win and push us up the table a bit."

Boro manager Tony Mowbray is confident Woodgate, who he claims is fully fit after complaining of stiffness in his legs, will be able to get the better of Henderson.

He told the Evening Gazzette:  "Henderson will obviously be a physical threat but Woodgate is long in the tooth He has played against all types of forwards – little nippy ones and big strong ones. Hopefully he will have the answers."
