KENNY Jackett believes Therry Racon has a role to play at Millwall this season after making his long-awaited league debut for the club at Sheffield Wendesday on Saturday.
Racon's 73rd-minute introduction as a substitute at Hillsborough was only his second competitive appearance for the Lions following his move from Charlton last summer – and his first in the Championship.
The Frenchman sustained a season-ending ankle injury on his debut at Plymouth Argyle in the League Cup in August 2011, but is now fully fit and available for selection again.
Jackett said: "In a three-man midfield he has both the legs and the footballing ability to contribute. Central midfield is a positive area for us at the moment with the options that I have.
"I'm pleased that Therry is back, albeit a year after he lost his place in the team because of injury."
