DAVID Forde kept a clean sheet as Portsmouth defeated Colchester 2-0 at Fratton Park on Saturday thanks to two late Gary Roberts goals.
It was Forde’s second shutout in four league games and the win moved Paul Cook’s side up to 14th in League Two.
In the National League at the weekend, Alfie Pavey helped Bromley to a 3-2 win over Gateshead in a pulsating fixture at Hayes Lane.
After James Bolton had put the away side ahead in the fifth minute, striker Pavey assisted Tobi Sho-Silva for Bromley’s leveller a minute later.
In a frantic opening 11 minutes Bromley went ahead through Sho-Silva’s second goal of the game.
Joe Anderson made it 3-1 to Neil Smith’s side and despite Danny Johnson’s late penalty Bromley hung on to move up to 20th in the league table.
