Preview: Peterborough United vs. Millwall

MILLWALL boss Neil Harris hasn’t completely ruled Shaun Williams or Shane Ferguson out of this evening’s clash with Peterborough at ABAX Stadium.

Williams, who was forced off in the first half of the 2-2 draw at MK Dons on Saturday after taking an accidental blow to the head from Kieran Agard, was having a test to determine if he had suffered concussion.

Ferguson injured his hip making a clearance late on at Stadium MK and did show some improvement on Monday.

But Harris may not risk the pair and has experienced, ready-made replacements in Joe Martin and Jimmy Abdou.

Centre-back Shaun Hutchinson, who has yet to make his competitive Millwall debut after picking up a hamstring injury against Brentford in pre-season, trained on Monday and should be in the squad that travels to London Road.

Peterborough started the season with two 3-2 wins but drew a blank as they lost 1-0 at home to Bradford last weekend.

Posh defender Hayden White vowed Grant McCann’s side will “bounce back” against the Lions, whom they defeated 5-3 in the corresponding fixture in League One last October.

“Our heads won’t drop. It’s just one defeat early in the season. It’s not nice losing at any stage of a season, but there is plenty of time to put things right,” White told Peterborough Telegraph.

“What we must do is start games better, especially against the good sides like Bradford and Millwall, and I’m sure we will.

“The manager wants a strong home record this season as it’s vital for teams who want promotion.

“I’m confident we will bounce back against Millwall. We will lift ourselves (and be) ready to put in a decent display.”
