MILLWALL continued their fine start to pre-season with a 3-0 win over Dartford at Princes Park on Tuesday evening.
The Lions took the lead on 10 minutes when Fred Onyedinma made it two goals in two games with a fine solo effort.
Onyedinma, who was deployed up front with Aiden O’Brien, surged forward before feigning right, then changed direction to find space and slot the ball into the bottom left-hand corner of the net from the edge of the box.
Eight minutes later the Lions’ lead was doubled when this time Onyedinma turned provider, winning the ball in the middle of the park.
After advancing towards goal Onyedinma found O’Brien to his right and he cut in on his left foot before finding the same corner from the same position as the opening goal.
Dartford rarely threatened in the first 45 minutes with Albert Jarrett sending two efforts wide of the Millwall goal.
Neil Harris made 11 substitutions in the second half with a youthful team continuing Millwall's dominance for the final 30 minutes.
In the 80th minute Jamie Philpot won the ball back before it ricocheted into the path of fellow sub Kris Twardek. The winger looked up and picked out Philpot's run and the centre-forward slotted home from close range to seal the victory.
