NEIL Harris will look for two or three new faces this summer – but there is no need to offload any of the club's talents, says Andy Ambler.
The chief executive expects there to be incomings at The Den before the 2016-17 campaign gets underway, but nothing will be confirmed until the manager returns from holiday.
Ambler told NewsAtDen: "I think Neil will be looking at two or three new signings in the summer, but I don't expect anything else to be confirmed until he is back from his break."
There has been reported interest in stars such as Jordan Archer and Lee Gregory, but the CEO – along with chairman John Berylson – has moved to reassure fans.
"There's been rumours, but we have had no approach at the club for any of our players. We aren't looking to sell – we don't need to.
"The chairman has made that absolutely clear. There is no pressure to sell just because we didn't get promoted."
One of many positives from last season was the emergence of young talent in the squad. Ambler hopes that they can continue their form and that more academy prospects can reach the first team next year.
"The best thing about last season was that we had two or three new faces like Ben Thompson and Aiden O’Brien being regulars. Mahlon Romeo came through during the second half of the season and let's not forget Jordan Archer, too.
"Let’s hope that next season they can continue their form. Maybe there could be a few others that come through the academy that haven't played for us yet."
