MILLWALL goalkeeper Tom King could help part-timers Braintree Town reach the Football League for the first time in their history after they confirmed their place in the National League play-offs with a 3-0 win over Altrincham on Saturday.
Braintree will play Grimsby in the play-off semi-finals after finishing in third place in the table.
Michael Cheek scored twice and Mitch Brundle got one as Braintree, managed by PE teacher Danny Cowley, set up their shot at glory in style.
Braintree will be away in the first leg, this Thursday, May 5, before the return leg at Cressing Road three days later. King has kept eight clean sheets in 16 games for Braintree since he joined them on loan from the Lions in February.
Dover and Forest Green are in the other semi-final.
Striker John Marquis scored the second goal in Northampton's 2-0 win over Luton to bring his tally for Chris Wilder's side this season to six in 14 games.
Meanwhile, in National League South, Keaton Wood's Dartford missed out on a play-off place as they lost 4-0 to St Alban's, who confirmed their safety with the result.
