Midfield concerns for Millwall as Thompson suspended

Neil Harris saw his midfield options further depleted on Tuesday night as Ben Thompson picked up his fifth booking of the season against Doncaster and he will now miss this weekend’s clash with Bradford.

Shaun Williams missed the victory over Darren Ferguson’s side as Millwall won 2-0 at home for the third successive game.

With Jimmy Abdou and Ed Upson still well over a month from a return, it means Harris could without his four first-choice central midfielders for the fixture.

If he misses out Harris could partner on-loan George Saville with Jack Powell, who was on the bench against Doncaster.

Powell has started two games this season at The Den but has been substituted in both.

The win over Doncaster saw Millwall move level on points with Wigan, Sheffield United and Bury in fifth, sixth and seventh places, respectively, in the Sky Bet League One table.
