JIMMY Abdou has signed a new two-year deal with Millwall.
The midfielder, who will turn 31 in July, joins John Marquis, Aiden O’Brien and Sid Nelson in committing his future to the club this summer.
The news will be a further boost for Lions fans, who voted Abdou the club’s player of the year last season.
The Comoros international joined Millwall in 2007 from Plymouth Argyle and has gone on to make over 200 appearances for the club.
Boss Neil Harris told Millwall’s website: “Jimmy is an integral part of the club and has been for a long time now. I’m absolutely delighted that his contract is all sorted.
“He epitomises what we are about in terms of his work-rate, his energy, his enthusiasm and the way in which he leads by example.
“Jimmy’s enthusiasm for the game is infectious and his attitude is top drawer.
“It will be really key next season that we utilise that, especially in terms of our style of play. We want to get the ball forward and work up the pitch and Jimmy is very important to that.”
