Report: Exeter City 2-3 Millwall

SUMMER signing Chris Taylor bagged a second-half brace as Millwall came from behind to beat Exeter City.

The Lions were on the verge of their second successive friendly defeat to lower league opposition until the former Oldham winger struck twice inside three minutes.

Boss Kenny Jackett had called for a response from his players following their 2-0 loss at Crawley Town last Saturday but another disappointing result was on the cards until Taylor's introduction in the 68th minute.

Fellow new arrival Scott Malone provided the assists for both goals, crossing from the left wing and leaving Taylor with simple close-range finishes in the 76th and then 79th minute.

Millwall had taken an early lead in Devon courtesy of Liam Feeney's third-minute strike, but David Forde's error allowed Arron Davies to equalise.

Striker Alan Gow gave the Grecians the lead in the 38th minute after some hesitant defending in the vistors' backline, but Taylor's double ensured that goal would not prove costly.

Millwall: Forde, Smith (Dunne), Ward, Osborne, Malone (Barron), Henry (C Taylor), Abdou (Racon), Trotter (Wright), Feeney, N'Guessan, Marquis (Henderson).
