NORTHERN Ireland boss Michael O'Neill is understood to have been scouting Millwall winger Liam Feeney ahead of a possible call-up.
Feeney, 25, featured in pre-season friendlies against Longford Town and Glenavon last week and O'Neill was in attendance at both matches, according to reports in Belfast.
The former Bournemouth midfielder, who has yet to win an international cap, is also believed to be eligible to represent the Republic of Ireland.
He told the South London Press in January: "I have grandparents from both sides of the border so I could probably represent either.
"But I do not know the full legalities yet and I would not want to say what my preference is until I know the full situation."
When asked why he had been watching the Lions' tour matches, O'Neill confirmed "there is a potential new face" in his squad for a friendly against Finland next month.
