MILLWALL'S first ever game in Northern Ireland ended in a comfortable 3-0 victory over Glenavon at Mourneview Park.

Striker John Marquis scored either side of half-time to put the visitors in the ascendancy, before young striker Conor Wilkinson fired in a third goal from distance.

But there was injury concern for Lions boss Kenny Jackett after frontman Shaun Batt limped off midway through the second half – though his withdrawal from the action appeared to be precautionary.

Marquis thought he had sealed his hat-trick in the 51st minute but his close-range finish was ruled out for offside.

Substitute Aiden O'Brien, who scored in the 4-1 victory over Longford Town in midweek, went close to adding a fourth when he latched onto Therry Racon's through ball and broke clear of the defence, but keeper Davy O'Hare denied him from 12 yards.

Millwall will return to their Bromley training ground next week ahead of their trip to Crawley Town on Saturday – their fourth pre-season fixture ahead of the new season.

Millwall: M.Taylor (Forde, 46mins), Dunne (Ward, 76mins), Barron (Sammoutis, 85mins), Malone, Smith (Goodman, 76mins), Osborne, Feeney, Racon, Keogh (Batt, 46mins (Wilkinson, 66mins)), Marquis, C.Taylor (O'Brien, 67mins).
