MILLWALL have registered an interest in young Arsenal striker Benik Afobe with a view to signing him on a season-long loan.
Lions boss Kenny Jackett was also keen on a move for the England U19 international last summer, but a six-month ankle injury put paid to any hopes of a deal.
However, Jackett has rekindled his interest in the fit-again forward as he seeks to strengthen his attacking options this summer.
Jackett, speaking to the South London Press this week, admitted that Afobe is a "good player".
But Millwall are unlikely to actively pursue an agreement anytime soon.
Sources close to the player have confirmed that Afobe will fly to the Far East with the Gunners on Saturday for their pre-season tour and that his immediate future at the Emirates has not been determined.
Championship rivals Birmingham have already been linked with Afobe, although new manager Lee Clarke, who signed the striker on loan while in charge of Huddersfield two years ago, has since played down those reports.
