MILLWALL are discussing January moves with Luke Varney of Blackburn Rovers and Charlton's Simon Church.
Lions boss Ian Holloway also remains in contact with Stefan Maierhofer about a possible Den return as he looks to add more striking options to his squad.
Holloway is interested in taking Varney or Church on loan, although it is understood both players would prefer permanent moves.
The duo are out-of-contract in the summer and want to sign on for next season as well.
Varney played under Holloway at Blackpool while Church is well thought of by first team coach Nigel Gibbs, who worked with the Wales international at Reading.
Despite drastically lowering his wage expectations since last summer, Maierhofer would need to further decrease his demands to make a move more feasible.
The Austrian has approached Millwall about coming back to south London and Holloway will consider taking him on at the right price.
