To all those people on the Lennon article, who believe gregory lost control of the ball and a penalty would have been a bit harsh or should not have been given,i was alway's under the impression that if a player was fouled in the area and the ball was in play anywhere on the pitch then its a penalty no if' and but's.
    someone prove me wrong.
So what are some people slagging lennon off for he admit's he got lucky
What we should be concentrating on is the stupid tactical change's made by IH,he should have just taken Mcdonald of at half time and sent the team out with new instruction's.Taking maggie off was stupid.
Ollie has messed up again with his change's,and my support for him is on a downward spiral,we are now in a very precarious position and i could write a long list of mistakes that he has made in team selection and tactical change's.
As you all know i have supported past manager's through thick and thin, jacket i was no fan of but i never once slagged him off whilst he was at millwall,Lomas was out of his depth and badly let down by millwall player's,but i supported him even though i took stick on NAD and to my face by some but i stood by him.IH is different,i am beginning to see an ego trip,so IH you still have my support but let me just say,i have thrown my POWDER PUFF out of the pram and i want to see you making better decision's and drop the ego trip bit.

Mr Holloway failed badly at Palace and the scale of his ineptitude was clearly shown by the subsequent performance of Tony Pulis. Mr Holloway came to Millwall because it gave him a platform to show the world he was not a washed up failure but his subsequent desperate displays show he should never have been given the job. Relegation would be a high pay the price of his ego trip.

I think a team easily good enough to stay in the Championship can be made from the current squad provided they play in a consistent formation that they know and understand and most importantly believe in. Currently the players look leaderless and lost, eleven individuals not a team and this is surely the manager's fault?

@Jzero: Where is the pace going to come from because there isn't any at the moment with any of the formations and player combinations. Every team we play especially at home know that all they have to do is run at us and we s*** ourselves, they also know that they have about 10 minutes to get back behind the ball due to our painfully slow one dimensional build up.We have no aerial threat up front (yet again) the only time we have had under Ollie was with the Hoff and even though he was not match fit he frightened defenders and made a nuisense of himself in the area which we had not had before with the munchkins or since. Two of our so called better players are just players who run around a lot (Martin and McD) There are very few defence splitting passes, goals or assists from them but they run around a lot which makes Ollie happy.

You are right Sealion, but exceptionally pacy players are rare and the absence of true pace has been apparent for years and is far from uncommon. Defensively a quick answer is surely to defend deeper but the right answer is a mid field disciplined so it does not leave great gaping holes that the opposition run through.
It was a pity the Hof left but Gregory, Gueye and O'Brien are players of talent and the team should be set up to use those talents.

@jim1222: Spot on Jim. To say the pen would of been harsh is wrong. If your fouled you are fouled end of it does not matter if you would not of got to the ball, you could be running away from goal if you caught in the box its a pen. Great post.

I said it before and will repeat, we require a lot of New Good Players at this Club. The PEOPLE IN POWER ABOVE ' OLLIE' , need to cough - up, or we will continue to be in the lower regions of the league or even Div 1. Any manager we get will have the same problems with this TEAM, ! ( and we see them at every single match ). NOLU, WDC .PS. Made the "POST " as short as possible, sorry.

I'm all for giving everyone a chance, IH came in and we were on our way down, that was a backs to the wall survive time, he succeeded, well done.
June 2014 IH first full season we started brightly, but it has gone squiffy, he has 24 out of contract players, I believe this is a contributing factor to our current predicament, no surprises that our best and most consistent players have secure contracts. IH admits to tinkering as a way of watching them all play to see who deserves a new contract (I understand that, but competitive games probably aren't the best time to realise that defensive partnership doesn't work). IH has stated he now has his targets for January and knows which youth team players he will utilise next season and he knows which of the 24 he wants to keep. This can only point to a more settled team in January and onwards, I will accept this is a transition season and we must give the muppet until the end of the season.
If we go down he should be man enough to say sorry and walk away.
If the tinkering stops and the targets come in and we stay up with a settled team and he has a mass clear out in June, I expect business to be concluded a good 2 weeks before the start of the season so pre-season is good, get some decent friendlies set up, p*** off abroad for a month if needs be.
But if we are in the same position next Christmas he has to go, Ian Holloway has 2015 to get it right in my opinion.
Lets back the chairman, manager, team, each other, no one one likes us and we do care we care very much about our Millwall.
    Merry Christmas

@brooker: We weren't in a great state when he took over, but I wouldn't say we were going down. It was great to stay up, but much of our precarious position was down to Holloway. He tried to impose his football philosophy first, rather than concentrate on results to get us up the table (like Bolton, Fulham and Birmingham have shown is possible with a good new manager).

I don't think we'd get anyone else half decent in, all the negativity but who is there?
I'm not happy with the current situation but chopping and changing doesn't always work, Leeds have had 3 managers and are 1 point above us.

@brooker: You are right we probably would not get any of these but worth sounding out? Uwe Rosler ,Tony Pulis,Glen Hoddle,Chris Hughton,Nigel Adkins,Billy Davis,Martin Jol,Brian McDermott to name but a few. There are plenty of managers out there and iam not saying any of these would work but would they be any worse?

@LETEMCOME: I don't think anyone would be worse, but no one would be any better, he needs to simplify and settle the team and it'll be fine, we'll still end this season 14th-17th.
I'm just trying to stay positive, a run of 4 wins is possible and would drive us up the table
the players he has signed have been alright in fairness, if you wrote a list of the players you'd keep the ones he has signed would be in that list.

he has also worked previously with Jimmy and Shittu and will keep them and Fordey was a priority to get a new contract. think there is a good core squad there, just bomb out the others and build.

@brooker: I cant argue with that in all honesty and its probably best to stick with a manager than it is to sack one as long as they are not glaringly awful and some people may say IH is but he needs to do something quickly to win back the supporters he has lost. Ive said in the past get rid, normally after a good few but I can see the point of sticking with IH. Just hope he picks the form team and sticks with it,buys well in the window and progresses from there all I want is for Millwall to do as well as we can with the budget and resources we have.

I wonder if any of those manager,s would have taken maggie off,he was the one player who looked as though he could make thing,s happen, also how many of them would persist with fuller who is never going to win a heading dual in a million year's,so why bring on fuller and go for the long ball option.
Now think back to the birmingham game we are 2-0 down IH bring's on o'brien and along with gregory they started to open up the brum defence and when they linked up for the goal it looked as if we could have gone on and won the game.
So why persist with fuller when he is doing nothing.
I could go on and on listing his mess ups,so unless he buck's up in the next 3/4 game's my support for him will dwindle some more.

From what I've heard and read he is now going to stop the tinkering and settle the team, and i think we should see how that goes

@jim1222: in all honesty surely the players supplying fuller would see he isn't winning the ball in the air and then start to play it to his feet give the guy half a chance, I see this as Ollies bad observation of the game

I don't buy the suggestion that Holloway came to Millwall for an ego trip. I can think of much better ways of doing that than coming to a club with low gates, no cash to spend on players and a poor public image. More likely he just needed a job and this was what came up. I was speaking to someone recently who is close to Argyle and he said that after a year or so there Holloway's 'head went', as it did later at Palace. Maybe he is having a similar meltdown now. The statements has has been coming out with in the last couple of months have been bizarre even for him (the Willy Wonka stuff for example). From the way Dunne has been dropped as Captain you would also have to get he has lost the confidence of at least some of the players too. Not looking good.

Just a personal sad note, I have lost a great friend and true supporter of the Lions. Some of you Bermondsey folk may possibly have drunk with a guy named Kevin Cremin, who drank in the Rose near Guys Hospital.Sadly passed away in his sleep aged 57. Even when his career took him up to Scotland he still had true support for the Wall. A sad lost. Sorry to go on but a fine guy. R.I.P. Kev COYL
