MILLWALL are set to miss out on Iceland international Gudmundur Thorarinsson after he flew into London for talks.
Thorarinsson, an attacking midfielder who plays for Sarpsborg 08, was given a tour of the Lions' training ground on Monday.
But the 22-year-old also travelled to the Midlands to meet with ex-Den boss Kenny Jackett at Wolves.
And it is understood that Thorarinsson, who is hoping to move to English football in January, would prefer a move to Molineux.
"Playing in the Championship would be a good opportunity," the youngster said.
"Gylfi Sigurdsson is a good example of that when he played for Reading. The main thing is to find a team that suits me and my style.
"I was a little skeptical when I heard of interest from Championsip clubs, but you can see that this is a strong division.
"I've been playing almost every game for Sarpsborg in the last two seasons and I feel ready to take the next step."
But manager Ian Holloway confirmed to the Southwark News that Thorarinsson's visit to the club would not materialise into a transfer.
