NEW Millwall signing Karleigh Osborne says he is determined to prove himself in the Championship after being handed a two-year deal by boss Kenny Jackett.
Osborne, who arrives at The Den on the back of a successful trial stint, turned down the offer of a new contract with League One side Brentford at the end of last season.
He will travel with the Lions squad on their pre-season tour of Ireland, which begins with a match against Shelbourne on Monday.
"I did my apprenticeship at Brentford but I thought it was time to move on and Kenny Jackett has given me the opportunity to do that," the 24-year-old told Lions Player.
"I'm ambitious and I want to get to the highest level possible so this is a massive chance to prove myself and play Championship football.
"Kenny had a word with my agent about coming in on trial, so I met the lads and did a bit of training. It's resulted in a two-year deal and I'm so happy to sign.
"I know Josh Wright and Liam Feeney and the boys made me feel welcome straight away. I'm an out-and-out defender, reasonably quick, tough-tackling and I can head a ball.
"I will give my all for the team and for the shirt that I'm wearing."
