MILLWALL have been linked with a move for League One top scorer Eoin Doyle.

The Dublin-born striker has scored 19 goals in 20 appearances for Chesterfield this season.

And the Irish Independent reports that the Lions have enquired about the 26-year-old, who is expected to be on the move in the January transfer window.

Bristol City are also said to be tracking the ex-Hibernian frontman.

Meanwhile, Millwall have not ruled out the possibility of adding to their squad before the loan deadline at 5pm.

Manager Ian Holloway has recently failed with approaches for Arsenal's Chuba Akpom and Fulham's Matt Smith.

And another target, Brighton's Chris O'Grady, moved to Sheffield United this morning.

Neither Brighton nor Fulham were prepared to loan a player to a division rival.

But the Lions are still hoping to bring in a new addition before the close of play.

    looks promising, yet no doubts we won't pay the buck for him, or anyone of this calibre, L1 top scorers worth £1million plus!

    Another striker that was mentioned on here earlier in the season before he started scoring for free. Well done Ollie you've f***** up again or was it how astute board members.

      @block 28: Doesn't mean the lad is guaranteed to score the same amount of goals in the championship.... What if Holloway did sign him and he didn't score all season, another Holloway fu** up no doubt?? Damned if he does, damned is he doesn't... makes me laugh!

        @Bradders: Investing in young players is better than the old donkeys he's brought on. Can't see the sense of your reply

          @block 28: nobody is talking about age here.... can't see the sense in your reply to be fair!!

          You said Ollie f***** up because the lad scored goals in LEAGUE 1, I said even if Ollie did sign him that there was no guarantee he would score in the CHAMPIONSHIP... I hope that is a little clearer for you now Block?? 🙂

    Using the words 'possibility' means we are signing no one and we will have to make do for the rest of the season, as other teams sign our targets and we are left with the cart horses who couldn't score in a brothel if they had a briefcase full of dinero and an armani suit!!

    The sort of player we should be signing, but we'll probably be outbid by someone more ambitious like Huddersfield or Bournemouth.

    That video doesn't really show what the guy is about, more a guy who is in the right place at the right time rather than creating something for himself.... unless I'm mistaken as I haven't seen much of him before?

    Usual name that gets bandied about I know but what's Chris Woods up to, is he getting regular game time at Leicester this season (or any season since he signed for them). Should think the striker we do get onloan today will be a prem fringe player

      @Bexley_Lion:

      Chris Woods said he doesn't want anything to do with us after the reception he got last season and can't blame him to be honest.

        @Jimmy Abdous Hip:

        chris woods is a nobody - he is on the bench for a team that is getting relegated - so what - just another footballer with an inflated ego - they think fans owe them a living
        who cares what he thinks

        as for this story - we have shown an interest in 100 players - doesn't mean they wil come or be any good
