MARC Bircham has been fined £1,000 by the Football Association.

Bircham admitted a charge of improper conduct following his involvement in a touchline row with Blackburn Rovers coach Craig Short.

Short has been hit with a £2,000 penalty.

It is understood that Bircham, Ian Holloway's assistant, was handed a lesser punishment because he remained in Millwall's technical area during the dispute.

Holloway was given a formal warning by the FA after he was sent to the stands.

Think it's about time some of these referees were handed fines for their incompetent refereeing.

Maybe someone on the panel thought the red card was a disgrace and should have been rescinded. Maybe santa will get stuck behind a flying pig this Christmas. Still I guess we should see this as a small result.why is there an advert for ars*nal tickets on here? Sort it out please that's taking the mick. I've got sky sports 5 and I can watch foreign football whenever I want I don't need it advertised on here.

@Jim28: my thoughts exactly. The adds don't bothet me as they pay towards the sight but seriously advertising other clubs tickets on here is taking the mick totally. Charlton tickets are a good call.
