MILLWALL boss Kenny Jackett is backing fit-again striker Shaun Batt to make an impact next season.
The Lions frontman has been monitored carefully since returning from a horrific injury that kept on the sidelines for the best part of two seasons.
Batt made four substitue appearances last season as he stepped up his recovery from a knee injury sustained in a pre-season friendly at AFC Wimbledon in 2010.
And Jackett believes the 25-year-old is ready to return to the first-team fold.
"I believe Shaun will be ready to return and prove a point," he told the South London Press.
"He seems fine. We have hopes he will make an impact, based on the quality he shows in training.
"He is just as quick as he was before the injury, which is a good sign. And he has not lost any strength, either – in fact, the work he has done in his rehab means he might even be stronger."
