MARC Bircham has been charged with improper conduct by the FA.
Millwall's assistant boss was sent to the stands after a row broke out on the touchline during Tuesday's draw with Blackburn.
Bircham became involved in a dispute with Rovers coach Craig Short, who was also removed from the dugout and has been hit with the same charge.
But Lions manager Ian Holloway has escaped punishment after he too was dismissed. He has instead been "formally reminded of his responsibilities" by Wembley chiefs.
Bircham has until 6pm on November 10 to respond.
