KENNY Jackett has revealed that Millwall will not be following up their initial interest in Wycombe striker Stuart Beavon.

The Lions had been one of a number of clubs monitoring the 28-year-old's situation this summer and Jackett confirmed he had previously approached the League Two side about a deal.

But Jackett told News Shopper that he is not planning to return with a formal offer:  "I did make an enquiry to their manager Gary Waddock over the summer but it is not one that we are going to follow up on."

NewsAtDen understands Millwall have been put-off from making a bid by Wycombe's asking price for Beavon and that Jackett feels the funds could be better spent on another target.
