FORMER Millwall loanee Harry Kane says he is desperate to impress Tottenham's new manager this summer and force his way into the first team at White Hart Lane.

Spurs are expected to announce within the next 24 hours that former Chelsea boss André Villas Boas has agreed to take-up the hot seat in North London, vacated last month by the sacking of Harry Redknapp.

Kenny Jackett is hopeful of re-signing Kane on loan for next season after he hit nine goals in 27 appearances to help steer the Lions to Championship safety.

But NewsAtDen understands the 18-year-old will be included in Spurs' squad for the group stages of the Europa League, with matches continuing until December.

"Harry was a great manager who helped me out a lot, and it was a shame to see him go, but that is football," said Kane.

"Now I have to impress the new manager who comes in, whoever it is. I just have to keep my head down, keep doing what I have been doing and hopefully I will get my chance."

Kane is also believed to be in contention for England U21 call-up this autumn, with qualifying matches against Azerbaijan and Norway set to take place in September.
