DAVID Livermore says he is excited to be returning to Millwall after accepting an offer to coach the academy's U18 team.
The former Lions midfielder is set to take up a key post in the club's revamped youth set-up after quitting as manager of non-league Histon last week.
"It’s an opportunity to go back to one of my old clubs, and a club where I enjoyed some success as a player," he told the Cambridge News.
"I’m looking forward to getting back into a professional environment and progressing my coaching career.
"I turned down the opportunity to manage another non-League side – I didn’t think that would be right at the time – as well as a coaching opportunity at a League Two side.
"Millwall was the one that, if I was going to leave Histon, felt right. It’s the job, other than Histon, that got me excited."
