EX-MILLWALL midfielder David Livermore is set to take up a coaching role with the club.

Livermore, 32, made 273 appearances for the Lions between 1999 and 2006 and was part of the squad that reached the FA Cup final against Manchester United in 2004.

He has been the manager of non-league Histon since 2010, but the Conference North side announced on Friday evening that the former Arsenal trainee had returned to The Den as a coach.

Histon chairman Russell Hands said: “Whilst all at the club are disappointed to see David go, we are pleased that he has been given the opportunity to progress his coaching career at a higher level.

"David will always be welcome back at Histon and we all wish him well for the future in what promises to be a very successful coaching career."
