Millwall boss and captain shortlisted for monthly accolades

MILLWALL manager Ian Holloway and defender Alan Dunne have been shortlisted for the Championship manager and player of the month awards, respectively. 

The Lions are currently fifth in the league having recorded three wins and a draw in their August fixtures.

And impressive wins over Leeds and Fulham has seen the Football League nominate Holloway for Millwall's early season form.



The Lions manager is up against Norwich manager Neil Adams, Nottingham Forest's where can i buy plavix generic Stuart Pearce and former Lions boss, now at Wolves, Kenny Jackett for the manager of the month crown.

In addition to Holloway's nomination, Alan Dunne has been shortlisted for the Championship player of the month award.

The defender has been ever-present in Millwall's back-line so far this season and faces competition for the honour from Forest's Michail Antonio, Blackburn's Tom Cairney and Charlton's Igor Vetokele.

The winner of each award will be announced on September 5.

    Well done to both for getting nominated, but unfortunately the awards will go to Stuart Pearce and Igor Ventekele.

      @harry2310: i dont mind if our two dont get it.we know how well they have done.the millwall fans opinion are the ones that count..plus these awards are a bloody jinx.

    Don't worry JIM, we are talking millwall here,so we won't get it. Should do,all the others are big clubs with plenty of money, but we won't .

    Well done to Ollie & Dunney but your right the only opinion that counts is wall fans. The FL can stick there awards where the sun don't shine
