LEEDS United's new owner expects Matt Smith to stay at Elland Road.
Millwall earmarked the striker as their top transfer target at the beginning of the summer and saw an opening bid turned down in June.
The Lions have not returned with a second offer as Leeds continue to insist in private that Smith is not for sale.
NewsAtDen understands the Yorkshire side have placed a substantial price tag on the 25-year-old's head despite there being less than a year remaining on his contract.
And Italian supremo Massimo Cellino has said Smith is in Leeds' plans.
He told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "Smith is growing, he’s a nice player and I think he wants to stay. A new forward is coming to help (Steve) Morison, (Noel) Hunt and Smith."
