Millwall to travel to Stevenage in second pre-season friendly

MILLWALL will take on League Two side Stevenage in their second pre-season friendly of the summer.

The Lions kick-off their warm up matches ahead of the 2014-15 campaign with a trip to non-league outfit Dartford on July 15.

And four days later, on July 19, Ian Holloway will lead his side to the Lamex Stadium.

Millwall are working to arrange further friendlies. A glamour tie against Zenit St Petersburg in Russia fell through, but the Lions are now hoping to host a Spanish side at The Den.

@Omer Ronayne: Maybe we should organise a mini tournement as a pre season friendly, enough teams in London to bring to the table as well as around London , though i suppose we would go back to square one with the Police problem...

Alex... any more news on talks with Villareal, Osasuna and Valencia???
I thought we were close to arranging something with one of them at one point.

FYI; Villareal play Spurs July 29th so would be right on the door step, while Osasuna and Valencia are in Birmingham/Manchester a little later I believe.

@Garrick: hmm actually never mind, I see that info is copied from Twitter, so almost certainly rubbish, and I think Valencia are in the Emirates Cup, no?

      Dartford and Stevenage?
Is that the best we can do? Maybe we should go to the park, throw down some jumpers for the goal posts and see who turns up for a game ffs.

@NICKOLA: no one likes us, if you want bigger pre season friendlies you have to go to Palace.

Its been well documented what challenges the club have had in organising friendlies this pre season. I'm sure the club will pull something out the bag for a game at The Den. Lets see what happens.....

@Lonsdale London: funny as f***, a local game between adelaide city and west adelaide I think , which is a derby between the Italians and the Greeks. There was probably 5 people max behind one of the goals and they had the flares goin, wish I could show ya the photo. Absolutely p*** ya pants with laughter! That is the beautiful thing bout this great game of ours, the passion belongs to us all and even if ya get 200 people to a game, we give it everything we got! Not even money can destroy that. I'm goin before I get emotional I miss London, I miss millwall and I miss that bird with the magnificent breasts at the whitesmiths arms in crosby row.
