Striker Keogh makes Australia move after Millwall departure

ANDY Keogh has moved to Australia after his release by Millwall.

The former Lions striker has penned a two-year deal with A-League club Perth Glory after failing to secure a lucrative contract in the Championship.

Keogh, 28, who has family Down Under, played against Glory for Wolves in 2009.

The Ireland international said: "I am looking forward to returning to Perth and to make my mark on the A-League.

"It is a league I have followed closely over the past few years, with my family having moved to Joondalup in recent years and through my close friendship with Shane Lowry.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for me and I believe my experience in the Championship will help me adapt quickly to the A-League."

@Jim28: true Jim, it's hard to know the players personalities when I don't see them play etc, but il keep an eye out for him, if he plays in adelaide il make sure he gets to see me my new orange millwall away strip close up and give him all you're regards "hee hee" it's 1 thing to be frustrated buts it's another to disrespect!

Sorry Andy Keogh, but you showed us a real lack of respect when you went to Blackpool on loan and for that I'm glad to see the back of you. Enjoy that Mickey Mouse League!

Yes, good luck. Not really right for us but I liked him as a player and probably needs the change.

Not sure it even concerns us. His contract expired at the end of this season so who cares where he's gone.

You don't have to like Millwall just because you played for us BUT if you understand/understood the club and its fans you would never do what this Hampton did on twitter etc. Lewis Grabban had decent grounds in which to dislike us so I can understand that to a point, but Keogh should have buttoned his Pikey Pie Hole regardless of his actual feelings..... Div. I hope he gets sun stroke.

Walked past the Perth Glory club shop yesterday for the first time - funnily enough it's on the corner of Bermondsey St.

I mayb mistakened but I reckon Perth glory had and prob stil have a very large english supporter base and use to have huge home matches in Perth where their owner decided to put on happy hours before the game on 1 of the hills behind the goals. Of course responsible drinking has always been a key priority in australian society and that strategy worked a treat for a long time. If ya got their a few hours before kick off ya got dollar beers or sumfin like that. They were extremely strong and won a few titles and the fans enjoyed the day out, (sum can't remember that period at all) but, god luv em it was great times. Anyway keogh will grow to miss the mighty wall and yes , he,l be sweating up when he strikes his first 45 degree day, lucky the c*** isn't playin in adelaide, a lot hotter here on average. Anyway, f*** him!! He,s gone and millwall aren't!

Can't believe what Kogh said about Millwall. Apart from the first season he was no great shakes and got a lot of support from the club and fans when his kid died. What an utter c***.
