IAN Holloway says Millwall are unlikely to re-sign Stefan Maierhofer – because the striker is holding out for a move to the Premier League.
The Lions had approached the Austrian about extending his short-term deal with the club but he is looking for a significant increase to his weekly wage.
Holloway believes there is currently "no point" discussing a new contract with the 31-year-old given that he wants to join a side in the top flight.
"I hope he gets what he thinks he's going to get, which is a Premier League team," Holloway said.
"He thinks that a club of that ilk might want him. You never know – he might end up getting a squad http://vhealthportal.com position at a club like that because he's 6ft 8in and he can head the ball sometimes.
"In the past, he was bought for £1.8million but in a funny way there was also a reason why he didn't have a club for seven months before we took him.
"He was one that I was going to talk to but there's just no point talking to him if that's what his expectations are. Stefan gave us a huge aerial advantage at times and we needed it.
"I needed a big man, I got one and he did really well for us, so I would be silly if I didn't ask where he is and what he's thinking about."
