FIVE Millwall youngsters have been offered new contracts by the club.

Forward Aiden O'Brien, pictured, defender Jake Goodman and goalkeeper Denzel Gerrar are among those the Lions want to sign extensions.

It is understood that deals have also been put on the table for midfielder Jack Powell and right back Josh Siafa.

Last week, Millwall announced that four players from their U21 squad, Charlie Penny, Niall McManus, Will de Havilland and Tom Bender, will be leaving the club in the summer.

@foxy: Not very helpful comments about something we know little about.
Good luck to the youngsters who have signed, look forward to seeing you in the first team given time.

Great news for the boys, fantastic for their parents who have probably sacrificed so much to get them to this position and very exciting for the club and coaches who see their hard work paying off.

@grassgrower: it is a real sign of intent from the club. Youth will be given time and support to develop. I reckon O'brien and Goodman are def in the running for the first team next season.

@glyngo: yeh glyngo, good move by the club. These kids grow up millwall and they live n breathe every aspect of it. Even if their careers take off n they go on to Other places millwalls always in the heart. I've always loved that about tim cahill, he,s never forgotten his family at the den and when interviewed his development at millwall nearly always comes up in the conversation. Good luk sat mate.

This is the kind of news all lions fans should be happy about. Concentrate on our youth and we have a chance to turn the club around.

On the other issue, "he scores when bets, he scores when he bets, DJ Campbell, he scores when he bets"

    Good riddance.

As for DJ..... Cheers for the goal against Leeds - made that journey home slightly less painful!
