SHANE Lowry has revealed that Kenny Jackett was a major motivating factor in his decision to sign for Millwall on a permanent basis.
The 22-year-old put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year contract with the Lions this afternoon after an agreement was reached with Aston Villa for his transfer.
And the Australian international, who initially moved to The Den on loan in November, has vowed to repay the faith shown in him by boss Jackett.
"I had a chat with the gaffer a few weeks ago and he made it clear that he wanted to sign me so we got the ball rolling," Lowry told the club's official website.
"Obviously things had to be sorted out with Villa, but now I’m just really happy to commit myself to this football club for the next two-and-a-half years. I’m delighted to say the least.
"It was an easy http://vhealthportal.com/product-category/muscle-relaxants/ decision to make. Since my first home game against Doncaster, the fans have taken really well to me and I’ve enjoyed my time here. I’ve given 100 per cent in every game I’ve played.
"The gaffer was a big influence on me – he showed a lot of faith in me. He put me in the team and I want to repay him for that, and show the fans that I deserve to be here on a permanent basis.
"The first time I stepped into the changing room, the lads were brilliant with me. There’s no big-time players here – everyone pulls their weight, if someone is stepping out of line, they are told.
"That’s what I really liked about this football club. Everyone is honest, hard-working people and hopefully I can fit in here."
