NICKY Bailey may not feature for Millwall against Nottingham Forest tomorrow despite playing 70 minutes for the U21s on his return from injury.
Bailey hurt his back while working to boost his fitness and has not appeared for the Lions since the 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday in January.
He helped Millwall's development squad to a 2-1 win over Cardiff City on Tuesday.
But boss Ian Holloway says the midfielder is unlikely to make an instant return.
"I don't know about this weekend," he said. "Nicky's been out for six or seven weeks with a pretty bad back.
"He would have been an important player for us because he organises people very well. He talks well. He's a very experienced player.
"I played him in my first two games and we won one of them against Ipswich.
"It's all about results but you've got to be really careful that you don't risk anyone or ruin anyone for months to come. It was quite a nasty injury.
"It was a slipped disc almost, which was pretty unusual. But he is over it and hopefully he'll be fine and we'll see how we go."
