GARY Bowyer hopes to be taking Blackburn to The Den next season.

The Rovers manager described Millwall as a "brilliant, brilliant club" in the wake of the 2-2 draw between the sides in SE16 on Saturday.

And Bowyer wants the Lions to win their battle against relegation from the Championship.

"I sincerely hope that point helps Millwall stay up because I love coming here," he said.

"It's a brilliant, brilliant club. They've got a great manager and it's a fantastic environment.

"I really hope that they stay up because the supporters are brilliant – they get a bit of a bad name but the banter that you get from them on the touchline is fantastic.

"The passion and desire they have for their club is first class."

Cheers gary but we both know that we're heading through the trap door.
Is it me or does it sound like he's putting himself forward for a possible job in the future

    Thanks Gary, nice to hear.

I was talking to a boro fan who says he loves coming to the den!, as he said its a 'proper away game of old', none of this corporate claptrap , ordinary people watching the peoples game.

Too late for us though, my only consolation is that Barnsley might overhaul Charlton as Danny Wilson seems to have got them going.

Well Gary thanks for your support. I know the real reason you don't want us relegated, and that's for the easy six points next season.

@harry2310: the cynic in me thought the same.

But nice to get a compliment from an opposition manager, can't remember last time that happened.
